Fort San Anselmo
Play Fort for kids aged 2 to 5 in San Anselmo, California
Fort San Anselmo is located on the San Domenico School campus in Marin County, California.
This playground structure for preschoolers was created for the young students of San Domenico and it is perfect for adventurous two- to five-year-olds. Because of the main tower is trimmed with crenellations, it gives the appearance of a castle play structure and is brimming with play options. To one side lies the wiggly, jiggle hanging bridge. Experiencing the scary thrill of bouncing around so high up will instill confidence in young learners, while also being incredible safe because of our hand-lashed rope railings.
On the other side, the cobra coil slide offers a fast way down with a few twists and turns for extra oomph . Once on the ground, it is easy to climb back up on the rope net ladder or the deep rung climber. These multiple "loops of play" are key to keeping groups of kids active and happy when out on the playground.
For those wanting to play a different type of game, the main tower of this wooden play structure includes a ground level playhouse, with castle carvings around the doors and windows. With a sprinkle of imagination, that space can be a cottage, a villain’s lair, or the queen’s treasure room.
This custom play structure also includes a ship's ladder as an easy way up for kids and adults. Continuing with the nautical theme, you can also find two ship's wheels attached to panels with hand-painted ship's nautical instruments, a telescope, and a waving flag.
As with all our playground structures for schools, Fort San Anselmo is made of sustainable redwood lumber grinded smooth for a splinter-free recess!
This structure meets ASTM F1487 Standards for Public Use Playground Equipment and the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act.
